What is a 3D Plantar scanner?
3D Plantar Scanner is a 3D foot scanner based on laser scanning and performs the foot scan in full/ semi weight and weightless. Also, 3d palntar scanner detect the foot arch type and height.
3d palntar scanner provides measuring the exact dimensions of the longitudinal and transverse foot arch.
Due to the precise modeling of the plantar, designing a special/personal medical insole with a 3D plantar scanner is very easy and has accurate dimensions and design a medical insole no longer requires time-consuming to measure the sole dimensions and the position of the foot arch, as all this information is available in PayaTek 3D Plantar scanner software.
The ability to quickly scan a large number of clients in a short time helps save time.
3d palantar scanner is portable, so that for patients who have mobility problems, allow being scanned while lying on the examination bed.
What is the difference between a 3D plantar scanner and an optical scanner?
Optical scanners actually represent a digital foot image to detect the foot size. This tool is made of a 2D scanner that is used to scan text and paper. The optical scanner is placed in a frame with thick glass and actually takes a photo of the foot sole with real dimensions. In these scanners, there are no sensors or facilities for measuring foot arch height and anthropometric indicators. Although in some models of this device, by using imaging and changing the color of different parts of the foot sole, it seems the pressure has been measured in different parts, but these measurements are not scientifically correct.
The 3D plantar scanner provides the actual foot sole dimensions due to the precise 3D modeling. On the other hand, by layering the soles at standard heights and checking the area of the sole that is in contact with the ground, it automatically determines the type of arch.
3D plantar scanner (PT-3D PLANTAR) is the simple and economical version of 3D Foot Scanner which optimized for insole design applications.

PayaTek 3D plantar scanner represent a 3D model of foot sole in STL/PLY format.
This 3D model allows for precise measurement of the longitudinal and transverse dimensions of the arch, heel location and the angle of the toe and fingers. As a result, this knowledge aids in a more accurate diagnosis of foot deformities.
Additionally, an automatic detection system determines whether the foot has a flat, low, normal or high arch.
Also, you can enable automatic measurements and get the data after each scan, without the need for special checks.
The 3D plantar model significantly increases your productivity for designing the most accurate, fast and easy medical insoles.
In PT-Insole Design software, the 3D model is automatically applied to the insole.
3D plantar and 3D foot scan
Foot pressure scanners can’t determine the height of the foot arch because they only measures the pressure. Additionally, some patients have foot abnormalities that cannot be detected using straightforward instruments like pens, calipers, or rulers.
3D foot scanners allow specialists to take precise measurements of foot and plantar.
Also, they can consider the patients’ foot shapes in design/construction of insoles or other orthoses. As a result, this insole will be the most compatible with the patients’ feet.

Single foot or two feet scanning
We know that the most weight-bearing state in the gait cycle is related to the mid-stance phase when all the weight of the body is on one foot so, the exact dimensions of the plantar have special importance in this state. As a result, foot scanning with a 3D plantar scanner requires simulation of such a situation. For this reason, each foot is scanned separately.
Where can we do a 3D foot scan?
Because the 3D foot scan accurately measures the physical dimensions of the plantar, it is used to measure longitudinal and transverse arch heights and toe angles, and to diagnose heel deformities. For this reason, technical orthopedic specialists, podiatrists, and corrective movement specialists are able to use this device.
